AI Engineer

Evertech layers AI and agentic workflows onto the software we build so routine work runs itself. As an AI Engineer, you own that layer — the agents, assistants, and retrieval pipelines that turn a good result into a step change in productivity for our clients.

You are a strong engineer first and an AI practitioner second: you know the difference between a clever demo and something that holds up under real use. You are pragmatic about where AI belongs and rigorous about accuracy, evaluation, and safety — and you work across the stack with the delivery team to take AI features from prototype to hardened, monitored production.

What you'll do

• Design and ship agentic workflows and AI features embedded in client software.
• Build retrieval-augmented (RAG) pipelines over client data with accuracy and guardrails.
• Integrate LLMs into production systems — tuning prompts, tools, and evaluation.
• Put human-in-the-loop controls and monitoring around anything that acts autonomously.
• Work with the delivery team to take AI features from prototype to hardened production.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years building production software, with recent hands-on LLM/AI work.
• Experience with agent frameworks, tool-calling, and RAG or vector search.
• Solid engineering fundamentals — you ship code that is tested and maintainable.
• A pragmatic eye for where AI genuinely helps versus where it adds risk.
• Bonus: experience with compliance-sensitive or regulated environments.
