AI Engineer

Evertech builds construction software first. AI goes on where it pays off: jobsite cameras, document capture, the busywork around pay apps and logs. As an AI Engineer, you own that layer, and you are honest when a simpler workflow is the better call.

You are a strong engineer first. You know the difference between a clever demo and something that holds up on a job. You work across the stack with the delivery team to take features from first build to hardened, monitored production.

What you'll do

• Design and ship AI features in construction software, only where they pay off.
• Turn jobsite cameras into safety and progress monitors when the client is ready for that.
• Pull data out of contracts, invoices, and other documents contractors already receive.
• Put human review and monitoring around anything that acts on its own.
• Work with the delivery team to take features from first build to production.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years building production software, with recent hands-on LLM or computer-vision work.
• Experience with document extraction, vision, or tool-calling in production systems.
• Solid engineering fundamentals. You ship code that is tested and maintainable.
• A pragmatic eye for where AI genuinely helps versus where it adds risk.
• Bonus: construction software, Procore, or field-ops experience.
